Our Story
The Moment That Started Everything
It started with my mother.
She had always been the kind of woman who moved through life with energy — up early, always doing something, never sitting still. But somewhere around her late 50s, I started noticing small changes. Her joints ached in the morning. Her hair, which she had always worn long, was thinning in a way she tried not to talk about. She mentioned once, quietly, that her skin didn't feel like hers anymore.
She wasn't sick. She was just getting older. And the thing nobody tells you is how much of that comes down to one protein — collagen.
Two Years of Research
I spent the better part of two years reading everything I could find on collagen — clinical studies, supplement formulations, sourcing practices, absorption rates. What I found frustrated me.
Most collagen products on the market were either underdosed, poorly sourced, or loaded with fillers and sweeteners that had no business being in a supplement. Many used a mix of five or more collagen types, which sounds impressive but actually dilutes the two types — Type 1 and Type 3 — that research consistently shows are responsible for skin, hair, nail, and joint support in women.
I also kept coming back to the same finding: the source of the collagen matters. Grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine collagen has a cleaner amino acid profile and a more consistent peptide structure than conventionally raised sources. It's not a marketing claim — it's a measurable difference in the raw material.
Why Aruva Exists
I built Aruva because I couldn't find what I was looking for on the shelf.
A single-ingredient formula. Fully hydrolyzed for maximum absorption. 20 grams per serving — the dose that clinical studies actually used, not a token amount. Grass-fed and pasture-raised. No fillers, no artificial sweeteners, no proprietary blends hiding behind a label.
Just collagen. Done properly.
I named it Aruva — a word rooted in the idea of renewal and vitality. Because that's what this is about. Not turning back the clock. Not pretending aging doesn't happen. But giving your body what it needs to feel strong, look healthy, and move well — at every age.
My mother has been taking it every morning for over a year now. She mixes it into her coffee. She doesn't talk about her joints the way she used to.
That's enough for me.
